On June 12, 2009, Catholic Youth Expeditions (CYE) welcomed middle school youth from around the Diocese of Green Bay, WI, for ‘Steppin’ Right With Jesus, Who’s in Your Boat?’ All met at St. Joseph Formation Center, Bailey’s Harbor, WI, and Stella Maris Parish, Door County, WI. Pastor Father David C. Ruby welcomed the guests to the area.
Father Tom Long and Father Quinn Mann, Diocese of Green Bay Vocation Directors, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, other women and men religious, as well as many diocesan priests were present for the day to facilitate events, participate as
small group leaders and assist with liturgical needs. Bishop David Ricken was the presider at the closing liturgy.
CYE, a group of young adults who lead retreat expeditions of prayer, proclamation of the Word, and outdoor adventure, has a full summer schedule for high school students, young adults, and even a family camp. Registrations are open to those who are courageous and confident in the workings of the Spirit.
How do you find God speaking to you?

The 150 junior high students were filled with energy and fun! It was great spending time with them and sharing a bit more about our life as Sisters with the girls! It is a blessing to see so many families supporting their childern’s desire to learn more about the priesthood and religious life!
Pray that my family can come to really understand the possible calling I have. Though, they are supportive in whatever may happen in the next two to three years.
Pam, I just read your comment and request for prayer. I will pray for you, that if God is calling you to Religious Life, you will respond wholeheartedly. I will also pray for your parents. May their hearts be open to all that God is asking and may they continue to be supportive of you.
Last evening, we celebrated the Rite of Reception into the Novitiate for another “Pam.” It was a beautiful ceremony! May God bless and keep you!
Both of my parents are in heaven and I will ask them to pray for your parents, Pam, and all parents whose children are discerning their life’s call. It requires generosity on the part of parents. What they may not know is the joy and support that comes from a daugher/son in God’s service.
