Transformational witness of hope: be a person of charity and truth. Pope Benedict’s latest message for us moves us to active charity for our brothers and sisters, an “extraordinary force which leads people to opt for courageous and generous engagement in the field of justice and peace.” My Sisters who celebrate jubilee have been open to the power of this kind of love.

Celebrating a Jubilee in our Community is certainly a beautiful, joyful affair. Having been a hostess I was there for the delicious breakfast and heard the inspiring message of Sister Louise. The beautiful solemnity of the Mass with the Bishop presiding, all the priests concelebrating and the heavenly music of the choir and everyone participating was wonderful. Then the dinner as a culmination of events. Who could ask for anything more? We are truly blessed to be a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Sister Mary Ann. We know you are taking your Old Testament course at Boston College seriously. We did have a wonderful day with all the jubilarians.

I did hear from Sister Hannah who is at St. Michael College in Burlington, Vermont. She, too, is grateful for the new knowledge that is hers, but especially for the good people that she is blessed to meet.
