This is equally true for those who seek to companion others in the process of vocation discernment. For the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Vocation Team this takes on literal meaning as road trips are planned to make initial contact with young women who send on-line inquiry forms, call for more information or sign up for a weekend retreat.

Thank you for taking the time to make personal contacts with young women who are discerning a vocation. It takes a lot of time and miles on your part and means so much to those discerning.

You can be sure of my prayerful support as the November weekend retreat approaches. Prayers for the leaders and prayers for the women discerning.

Srs. Julie Ann & Sr. Mary Ann, thank you for all your preparations for the Nov. Retreat. God’s blessings & the Holy Spirit’s guidance on that weekend. May the Lord and His Blessed Mother be near and stir in the hearts of the Retreatants an increased faith and perhaps a stirring in one’s heart to answer a call to follow Him in Religious Life. We will be with you in spirit and will toss a prayer or two in for you all!

What a blessing Sisters are! Thanks for all your prayers and comments. Know we are all united when any one of us welcomes another in our midst. Please know you are supported in all that you do in the name of Jesus and His Gospel of love and peace.

Thanks to both of you for all the time, work and energy you put into the Vocation work for our community. Know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of your Sisters. I don’t know how you do everything and do it so well. Blessings on the Retreat November 13-15.

Sister Mary Ann and I both had some interesting ‘road side’ chats at NCYC. The path of discernment often begins early and even short, seemingly meaningless conversations are part of the fabric of God’s call for each of us.
