Hi Kathryn,
How neat to hear from you! Too bad we did not connect at NCYC, however with 22,000 high school students there it is easy to understand! Hope that you are doing well?! Count on our prayers for you!
Peace and all good!

Hi Sr. Mary Ann and Sr. Julie Ann!

I missed seeing you both at NCYC, but know that both of you along with the other FSCC sisters are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you had a great time in Kansas City!

Peace and all good,

I prayed for you and the attendees each day. I hope the fruit of your labors will be abundant as I give thanks this week for who you are and what you do and how you bring hope to so many of us in the community and those who desire to enter. Thank you!

We rolled out of NCYC before the closing Mass after having another full day of meeting young people from throughout the U.S. During part of the afternoon, Sister Mary Ann helped lead a discernment sectional with other vocation directors, while I monitored booth action. Check out some construction action in our flick'r photos that I was able to observe from our exhibit area.

We celebrated Sunday liturgy at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception which was within walking distance of the Convention Center. Tomorrow we head for home with many memories of Kansas City NCYC...and with our suitcase of give away items weighing a lot less.

We ended Thursday with Eucharist. Bishop Lucas from the Diocese of Omaha presided with lots and lots of priests! Large groups of youth from various dioceses sat together wearing similar clothing. Prayer was strong and spirited.

Hope you are having a successful venture.
Today it is suppose to be 50 and a little sun.

You may have noticed that we are placed in the exhibition hall between the Benectine monks from St. Meinrads and a Holy Cross priest (yes, Notre Dame, Indiana is one of his community's sponsored institutions.)

What a FANTASTIC experience to meet and see so many teens from all over witnessing and sharing on many topics and celebrating the Eucharist together. YES, some of our students from Central Catholic High School, West Point, Nebraska, along with their leader, Lisa Hunke are in Kansas also. We are all praying for you and share the Lord's message far & wide! The hats are really clever!
